It was recently made evident to me that my last explanation of business ethics and my expanded theory was not as in depth as it could have been. I was told that I could have gone more in to depth with my own ideas. So I decided to write another article on my own thoughts.

All together ethics seem to be skewed in some people. But where do ethics come in? Furthermore what is ethics to a business? With a failed venture under my belt I was left to wonder what exactly business ethics are.

Top 10 Greatest Qualities Of A Graphic Designer

So one of the topics of conversation around the office has been what makes a great graphic artist. Not a good artist, a great one. So i have done some research and com to this conclusion and i laid it all out below.

#10 Professionalism

One of the key stones to any great designer is their integrity. All of your ethics and morals are seen there. When people come to depend on you they rely on your integrity. So in a way it defends you no matter what you do. As a designer not only your team relies on you, but your clients as well. However that isn’t all it takes to uphold a professional image. You also need to be timely. Time management is a skill based in self-discipline, and you need that in a field that is so highly based in deadlines. Along with time management, you also need to have a decent business sense. This can lead to good out comes in the field of graphic design. Part of a good business sense is the ability to manage priorities. In this field you will need to be able to decide which projects are most important and which ones can go on the back burner for a week. Generally this is done by looking at your deadlines and taking care of the ones closest to deadlines. A great designer knows who they are trying to sell to. Knowing your target audience is key. This is your way in the market you need to be in. professionals are expected to know how to do this. However knowing your audience is only the first step in a strategy you will find your strategy will keep projects moving and keep everyone on the same page. Your clients also need to see you’re planning, so they can keep up with your progress. Plans and strategies also give the ability to work with clients’ ongoing/predetermined, advertising strategies.
